MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

At Adina, we work as an extension of both our suppliers and our customers — helping great ingredients find their way into great products through insight, technical understanding, and genuinely good service.

We’re looking for a Technical Sales Representative to help us grow sustainably, build long-term partnerships, and make Adina the go-to ingredient partner in the UK personal care industry.

This role suits someone who enjoys the mix of technical conversations, commercial thinking, and relationship building.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Customer Facing:

  • Deliver best in class customer service, tailoring your approach to customer needs

  • Work with technical, brand and commercial teams to identify and prioritise opportunities to grow business with current and new accounts

  • Develop and maximise new leads

  • Contribute to content for media channels including presentations, events, website and social media

  • Make Adina the preferred partner for new business and briefs

  • Use commercial acumen to create win-win agreements, defend against competitor threats and regain lost business

  • Help to lead ingredient and industry insight and education

  • Organise and lead customer interactions by phone, email, teams and in person visits

  • Act as an ambassador for Adina at industry events and trade shows

Company Facing:

  • Act as the ambassador for your customers and partners within Adina to ensure understanding and excellent service levels

  • Contribute to logging, reporting and feedback mechanisms for customer activity

  • Contribute expert market insight to facilitate strategy and decision making

  • Contribute to team dynamic, company culture, and continuous improvement of policies and processes

  • Assist in issue resolution with suppliers and customers

Partner Facing:

  • Represent our customers to our partners, help them understand their opportunities and challenges and develop appropriate long-term strategies

  • Feedback market insight using agreed reporting mechanisms

  • Help our partners continuously improve their own processes and procedures

  • Act as the first port of call in communication and lead sharing

  • Facilitate joint visits as appropriate

  • Conduct an annual business review to share market insights and create a joint strategy

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who already understands the UK personal care landscape and enjoys working at the centre of it.

Someone who:

  • Has strong relationships within the personal care customer base

  • Is naturally good at building long-term relationships with customers, partners and colleagues

  • Has solid technical understanding of personal care ingredients and how they are used in formulation

  • Is commercially aware and looks for win-win growth opportunities

  • Works collaboratively and contributes positively to team culture

  • Enjoys being out in the market as well as working closely with internal teams

Industry experience and credibility are important in this role — our customers and partners rely on us for insight and guidance, not just supply.
