Hotact® VBE is a vanillyl alcohol derivative, having a warming effect similar to capsaicin or capsicum extract, but generally producing less irritation.
Hotact® VBE acts almost immediately on contact with the skin, and the warming effect may last up to two hours. Hotact® VBE is also odourless and colourless making it suitbale for use in numerous cosmetic formulation types.
Testing has also shown that Hotact® VBE can actually help to enhance the cooling sensation of Coolact® 10 when used in combination.
