Questice works to effectively give a perception of cooling on the skin. It is a
stable ester, until it comes into contact with the skin. Here, esterase
enzymes slowly hydrolyse it to release menthol and pyrrolidone carboxylic
acid (PCA). The gradual, sustained release of menthol creates the
odourless cooling sensation. Because this happens over many hours, the
cooling is sustained and gentle. In addition the PCA, a natural moisturising
factor, conditions the skin.
It is available as a liquid Questice L or in solid form Questice Powder.
