Gel Base BSM5 (INCI Cyclomethicone & Dimethicone & Phenyl Trimethicone) is a crosslinked silicone system based on a specific combination of a dimethicone
polymer and a phenyl trimethicone which offers smoothing and soothing properties to the skin.
Gel Base BSM5 forms a polymeric film on the surface of skin making it visibly smoother and
more youthful looking. Cosmetic formulations made with Gel Base BSM5 feel beautiful to the touch; they have tremendous play time on the face and
provide a perceivable improvement to appearance.
Gel Base BSM5 is perfectly formulated for use in emulsions by improving the feel and performance
of foundations, skin lotions and creams.
Gel Base BSM PE (INCI Cyclomethicone & Dimethicone & Phenyl
Trimethicone & Polyethylene) is a silicon matrix based on Gel Base BSM5 which entraps polyethylene. It
not only feels nice and smooth, but also has optically enhancing qualities that will help to diminish
the appearance of wrinkles. Gel Base BSM PE forms a polymeric film on the surface of the
skin making it appear visibly smoother and more youthful. Cosmetic formulations made with
Gel Base BSM PE feel beautiful to the touch; they have increased play time on the face and
provided a perceivable improvement to the skin’s appearance.
Gel Base BSM PT (IBCI Cyclomethicone & Dimethicone & Petrolatum) provides
silicone sensory properties during product application with the added benefits of petrolatum.
While Gel Base BSM PT has the positive attributes of petrolatum, yet lacks the tackiness
and other negative properties usually associated with it. In skin care applications, Gel Base BSM PT will improve gloss, smoothness, emolliency, occlusion and water repellency.
Gel Base BSM VT (INCI Cyclomethicone & Dimethicone & Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil) is manufactured using technology identical to
that of Gel Base BSM PT, however hydrogenated vegetable oils take the place of petrolatum.
Gel Base BSM PT offers enhanced aesthetic properties to skin care and make-up formulations. It, too, will enhance the smoothness and
product aesthetics.
