Properties

Macarose is composed of the optimum balance between natural oils extracted from Macadamia nut and Rosa Mosqueta hips. Macadamia nut oil has an unsurpassed ability to penetrate damaged skin, replenishing oils lost during the day. Macadamia oil contains 59% of oleic acid and 25% of palmitoleic acid which has long been known as beneficial to skin as emollient agent. Thus skin regains its original suppleness.

The oil produced from the rosa mosqueta plant contains 80 % non saturated fatty acids :

Omega 3 C18:3 linolenic acid 35 %

Omega 6 C18:2 linoleic acid 43 %.

The presence of Omega 3 - Omega 6 contributes to the biological process of cell adhesion, enhancement of the proliferation of cellular membrane and moisturizing. It has been shown that Omega 3 have an important action on barrier epidermis and on proliferation of cellular membrane. Research has shown that treatment of skin with Omega 3 and Omega 6 slow down the transdermal water loss. Omega 3 treatment by topical application inhibits synthesis of inflammatory substances.
