Properties

Peptides and amino acids have proven efficacy in haircare. Peptides readily attach to the hair cuticle after washing and bond with chemically treated hair to repair some of the damage caused by these treatments. They bond more wherever damage is greater for optimal conditioning at all times - the greater the damage, the greater the binding but without build-up. They are ideal for superior curl retention and styling, will help to close split ends and by swelling the hair shaft they give the impression of thicker hair. Amino acids are extremely hygroscopic and when incorporated into hair care products will build body, giving life to thinning hair. Increasing the moisture content improves hair flexibility which increases the manageability and strength.

Adina can offer a wide range of Peptides and Amino Acids of both animal and vegetable origin. A selection are listed below:

Vegetable Derived

Naturein Cotton Peptide CL CQ (INCI Name Hydrolyzed Cottonseed Protein) is very effective at improving the dry feel of hair.
Naturein Soy Peptide CQ (INCI Name Hydrolyzed Soy Protein) has strong moisture binding properties. It is particularly rich in Glutamic and Aspartic Acids.
Naturein Wheat Peptide CL CQ (INCI Name Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein) is rich in Glutamine peptides for their follicle nourishing benefits.
Naturein Rice Peptide CQ (INCI Name Hydrolyzed Rice Protein) has beneficial conditioning effects on hair, particularly on dry hair.

Phytokeratin PF (INCI Name Aqua & Hydrolyzed Corn Protein (&) Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein (&) Hydrolyzed Soy Protein) penetrates the hair shaft to bind moisture and improve gloss & restore vitality to the high. It strengthens and maintains the elasticity of the hair shaft.
Other cationic, oil and ethanol soluble versions are also available:
Quat-Phytokeratin (INCI Name Hydroxypropyltrimonium Plant Amino Acids)
Oleo-Phytokeratin (INCI Name AMP-Isostearoyl Wheat/Corn/Soy Amino Acids & Isostearic Acid & Aminomethyl Propanol)
Etha-Phytokeratin (INCI Name AMP-Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Corn Protein & AMP-Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Soy Protein & AMP-Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein & Butylene Glycol)

Quat-Wheat CDMA-30 (INCI Name Aqua & Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein). The cationic nature provides the same benefits of static reduction, improved gloss, improved hair body building and hair conditioning as animal derived keratin but from a non-animal source.

Milk Derived

Milk Amino 20 PF (INCI Name Aqua & Milk Amino Acids) is derived from pure, whole milk and helps restore moisture to the hair.

Hydromilk EN-20 (INCI Name Hydrolyzed Milk Protein) to improve the gloss, manageability and body of the hair.

Silk Derived

Solu-Silk SF (INCI Name Silk Amino Acids) from pure silk fibres to penetrate and bind moisture to the hair.
