Parsol TX50 AB is a 50% dispersion of Parsol TX in Alkyl Benzoate developed by DSM Nutritional Products.
Parsol TX is a special microfine Titanium Dioxide with a perfect silica coating to prevent discoloration and to ensure compatible with Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane (Parsol 1789). It significantly contributes to in vivo SPF and has excellent transparency. Many other grades of Titanium Dioxide are not compatible with Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane due to complex formation with metal ions causing yellowing of the finished product and a decrease in measured SPF or with Ascorbyl Palmitate due to discoloration.
DSM Nutritional Products have now introduced a physically stable dispersion of PARSOL TX in C12-C15 Alkyl Benzoate with a loading of 50% of PARSOL TX under the tradename Parsol TX50 AB. It has the same coating quality as Parsol TX,is easy to handle on all production equipment and can be added
during all production steps. It has the same very good UVB and significant UVA absorption.
