BiotechMarine have introduced Thalassine 2, a new water soluble Matricaria maritima extract which acts on the expression of cutaneous neurotransmitters Substance P and Acetylcholine to limit contractions and relaxes the cells. At the same time, it contributes to restoring an optimum 3D architecture by stimulating the synthesis of collagen.
The sensitivity reactions and mechanical constraints of the epidermis are transmitted to cutaneous tissue via the extracellular matrix. The resulting mechanobiological reactions tend to alter the skin's three-dimensional
architecture. These modifications are sensed by specific cell receptors and give rise to intracellular biochemical activation cascades resulting in changes in the synthesis of components useful for matrix re-modelling.
