GenoFix®CPD is a synergistic enzyme concentrate from Anacystis Nidulans designed to repair the cellular DNA damaged by UV radiation.
DNA photolyases are highly efficient lightdriven DNA repair enzymes which revert the DNA damaging effects caused by UV radiation. Their catalytic mechanism employs the lightdriven injection of an electron onto the DNA lesion to trigger the cleavage of CPDs inside the DNA. In addition to preventing photoaging of the skin and as a direct consequence of its CPD repair, photolyase is able to restore the TNFαmediated immunosuppression of epidermal Langerhans cells and diminish the production of MMPs.
