Suncare - Secondary - Cellular Protection

Photoaging is characterised by detrimental changes in skin function and appearance, skin appears wrinkled and leathery and often has uneven pigmentation or “age spots”. Cellular damage also leads to an increased risk of skin cancer.

In addition to UV absorbers, anti-oxidative vitamins (listed in other sections), free radical absobers and protectants against UV induced immune suppression can help reduce the photoageing effect of exposure to the sun.
